Our Love Story

Some love stories begin with a grand gesture; ours began in the quiet, beauty of Stellenbosch, amidst the lovely chaos of student life.

We were two people starting to find our way in the world, not yet realizing that the person we were looking for was standing right in front of us. It feels like fate that we spent years living around the corner from one another back home, with life quietly nudging us together all along.

What began as a gentle spark soon grew into a love we couldn't ignore. Tannen fell for Michaela's sharp mind, her warmth, and the radiant way she lights up every room. Michaela fell for Tannen's intellect, his quick wit, and the quiet steadiness he brings to everything he touches. (And if we're being honest, the looks certainly didn't hurt!)

But it's the quiet moments that have built us: the mutual respect, the shared laughter, and the daily choice to keep choosing one another through every ordinary and extraordinary season of life.

Today, our hearts are fuller than we ever imagined. Our little family includes our precious boy, Callum, who brings us boundless joy, and our two beloved dogs, Paisley and Libby, who remind us that love is best given wholeheartedly and without reservation.

On the 3rd of October, we get to make our promise official. We cannot wait to celebrate this new chapter with the people who mean the world to us.
